Since a little after the launch of the Nintendo Wii, reports have been rolling in about people being sore or tweaking muscles after a gaming session with the Wii.  And Nintendo has published Wii Health and Safety Precautions.  We have seen it first hand here at WorkoutWithWii after sharing our beloved Wii with a group of friends.  Many complained of sore muscles and fatigue after just a few games of Wii Sports.  The reality is that these games require most players to use muscles that they have not exercised in years.

So, we recommend trying to stretch before picking-up that Wii remote. 

Some of the stretches we use are: the arms behind the head to loosen up those triceps and other arm muscles, the torso twist (with hands on hips) - to stretch those ab muscles, and the leg extensions to get the blood flowing through your bottom half.  About.com has a great article on basic stretching that we highly recommend reading.
