It is being reported that Nintendo is now shipping more heavy-duty Wii Controller straps in the latest batch of Wii's. With all the reports of flying controllers , this can only be a good thing. We have yet to have our straps break but are always careful to make new player aware of the need to grip the controllers tight and avoid costly equipment damage. |

Time Magazine has proclaimed the Wii might be "the greatest videogame ever made". WorkoutWithWii has to agree. At a social event we held this weekend that had nothing to do with the Wii and everything to do with the on-coming holidays, the Wii won out. Everyone wanted to try it and we have now started taking reservations for bring the Wii for visits to friends houses for various occasions. |

Since a little after the launch of the Nintendo Wii, reports have been rolling in about people being sore or tweaking muscles after a gaming session with the Wii. And Nintendo has published Wii Health and Safety Precautions. We have seen it first hand here at WorkoutWithWii after sharing our beloved Wii with a group of friends. Many complained of sore muscles and fatigue after just a few games of Wii Sports. The reality is that these games require most players to use muscles that they have not exercised in years. |

The Wii comes right out of the box with a great title called Wii Sports. In Wii Sports, you can play Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf and Boxing. I was passing by our local GameStop and decided to check-in to see if they had anymore Wii's as my friend wants one for his kids for Christmas. They told me that the Wii was out of stock and they were unsure when they would receive anymore. There were two clerks, one asked me why I liked the Wii and made a comment: "We get about 20 Wii calls a day for every 1 PS3 call". The other clerk said that you really need to play it in order to see why it is so popular. I concur with clerk 2, you can watch someone play the Wii and think that it is interesting. But once you try to play it you are hooked. Everyone who has played our Wii system is now intent on buying their own. None of the people I have spoken with have even thought of getting a PS3 or XBox 360. The mass market appeal of this system is amazing. I think Nintendo is on to something. |
